Compete for a Cause: Ringette with the Price Family
Some afternoons don’t just create memories — they make a mark. That’s exactly what happened when Angela Price decided to step up for a Compete for a Cause challenge. And let me tell you, she didn’t come empty-handed.
Angela showed up with reinforcements in the best possible way — the incredible athletes from the Special Olympics BC (Kelowna) floor hockey team. And just when I thought my crew and I might stand a chance, she called in her not-so-secret weapon: her husband, Carey Price. Yes, that Carey Price.
What unfolded on the floor wasn’t just a game — it was joy, competition, laughter, and heart all colliding. The Special Olympics athletes gave it their all, showing the same grit and determination they always bring to their sport. Carey brought his quiet confidence and undeniable skill. And Angela orchestrated the whole thing with her signature mix of charm and strategy. By the end of it, Team Brewster and friends were left in the dust.
But here’s the thing: when you lose in this kind of competition, you really win. Because alongside the fun, the Price family raised $10,000 for Special Olympics BC. That means more opportunities, more support, and more doors opened for athletes who deserve every chance to shine.
It was an unforgettable afternoon — not because of the scoreboard, but because of the spirit in the room. Competition brought us together, generosity gave it meaning, and community made it lasting.
Here’s to Angela, Carey, the Price family, and our friends at Special Olympics BC for reminding us once again that when we compete for a cause, everyone comes out a champion.
Here's to doing good together and having some fun along the way! Congratulations to Angela, the entire Price family, and the crew at Special Olympics of British Columbia for coming together and competing for a CAUSE!
